When Your Voice is Silenced
Silence can be golden unless you have something to say.
Rules.
It’s not that I hate them, I’m just not very good at following them. I’m also not great at doing things the way everyone else does, and this doesn’t always work in my favor.
But at least I’m real.
My work rarely conforms to standards (one reason is because I’m too excited to read the guidelines before publishing). I mean standards involving layout and placement and things like that, not content. I do fairly well with that part. My voice is authentic, even when it isn’t heard, or READ.
It’s not that big of a deal.
Whether my stories or my other writings are presented to one or one hundred persons, I believe they will be seen by the ones who need them the most!
That’s the thing about the stuff I write. I may not get the traction I thought I needed, but these words will still go out and do what they were intended to do.
It’s not about money, fame, or notoriety.
I write because I have something to say and because there’s someone who needs to read it. The written word will always find its way home.
Even when your voice is silenced.
I’m an artist and a writer. I believe in God, family, hard work, and community. Thank you for reading!
